According to MTN Nigeria Communication PLC, it has over 7,000 agents, 300 retailers, and a 50% subscriber base in Anambra. It also claims to have increased penetration and adoption.

The numbers were just provided by Mr. Callima Inino, MTN General Manager, Regional Operations, East.

Anambra, particularly before the intended smart mega city concept, was cited by Inino as a promising market for the organisation to engage in.

In order to achieve vision 2025, he claimed that the state government and other stakeholders needed to be supported and partnered with.

“There are many advantages to using our different platforms as a company that provides good services using various digital platforms and technology.

“We hold over 50% of the market share in Anambra in terms of subscriber numbers. I can say with confidence that Anambra is one of the places where we are prospering more, particularly in penetration and adoption.

“We have more than 7,000 agents and more than 300 establishments who take cash as payment. We won’t stop pushing for our services to gain traction, adoption, and penetration in the state, he declared.

Inino underlined the company’s dedication to provide its numerous clients across the country with rapid, high-quality services.

However, he also pointed out vandalism of the sites, infrastructure, and national assets, as well as the destruction of inserted fibres during construction. as a few of the challenges the organisation is dealing with.
