At the Rosaline Omotoso Courthouse in Ikeja, where the state’s Governorship Election Petition Tribunal is sitting, Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat has arrived.

The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Olajide Adediran and the Labour Party’s (LP) Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour’s appeal for governor, respectively, are scheduled for judgement before the tribunal.

In the state’s March 18 governorship election, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was proclaimed the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Adediran and Rhodes-Vivour are contesting this decision.
