On Friday, the coroner’s inquiry into the death of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, 27, also known as Mohbad, will begin.
According to information obtained by Anaedoonline.ng, the inquest would start in the Magistrate court in Ikorodu, Lagos.
This was revealed in a letter from Magistrate Taofikat Shotobi to Falana and Falana Chambers, dated September 26.

The firm requested the inquest in a letter dated September 18, 2023 and addressed to Justice Mojisola Dada, Chief Coroner of the High Court of Lagos State. The firm described the late Mohbad’s death as “very tragic” and under “mysterious” circumstances, and urged the investigation into those circumstances.
The coroner responded to the firm’s letter by stating that she had been given permission to convene an inquest by the Chief Coroner of Lagos State, Hon. Justice Mojisola Dada, in accordance with the terms of the Coroner’s System Law of Lagos State, Cap. C15, Laws of Lagos State 2015, Sections 14 and 15.
According to an earlier story from Anaedoonline.ng, the musician passed away on September 12 and was buried the following day in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
