The All Progressives Congress (APC) is committed to returning to power in 2026, according to Saheed Onibonokuta, chairman of the APC in Osogbo Local Government in Osun.
In an interview with media on Sunday in Osogbo, Mr. Onibonokuta stated that everything will be done to assure the party’s return to power and the continuation of its people-centered governance.

He claims that the state’s incumbent Peoples Democratic Party has betrayed the populace, which is why calls are being made for the APC to win the governorship in 2026.
Former Osogbo Local Government chairman Mr. Onibonokuta also claimed that the APC, led by minister of marine and blue economy Gboyega Oyetola, was growing stronger and was ready to take back power.

Gov Wike Reveals Why Gov Ortom Can’t Return To APC

“Osun people can now see the difference between APC and PDP in the state.

“Osun people deserve better than what they are getting now, and that is why they are clamouring for the return of APC in the state.
“It is obvious that the PDP and Gov. Ademola Adeleke-led government are not after the welfare of workers and pensioners in the state.

“Even the money being received from the federation account is not being utilised for the benefit of the people, unlike when APC was in government, and that is why we are preparing to rescue our people come 2026,” he said.

Mr Onibonokuta also said that members of the party in the state were united, purposeful, and determined to work for the victory of the party.

“More than ever, we are now united under the leadership of Oyetola, who has instructed us to continue to work for the stability and victory of the party in the state.

“I can say categorically that with the yearning of the people of the state for the return of the APC to power, the PDP will not spend another four years in the state.

“We will restore the lost hope of our people and ensure that they get what they truly deserve,” he said.
Mr Onibonokuta, however, urged members of the party to continue to support Tajudeen Lawal, the state chairman of the party, to succeed.

He said the support of all members for the chairman was important for the progress of the party in the state.
