Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) nominee for president in 2023, spoke at a global press conference on Wednesday about the controversy surrounding President Bola Tinubu’s certificate.
The press conference took place at the Shehu Musa Yar’adua Auditorium Wuse 2, according to Anaedoonline.ng.
President Tinubu allegedly submitted a counterfeit diploma certificate from Chicago State University (CSU) to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) during the press conference, according to Obi.

Because of what Tinubu is supposed to have done, the former governor of Anambra claimed that Nigerians are now viewed as fraudsters, certificate forgers, and identity thieves around the world.
In order to spare himself and Nigeria from shame, Obi also urged the President to reveal his real name, the institution he attended, the location of his service, and the certificate he received from CSU.
The former governor of Anambra asked President Tinubu to immediately provide Nigerians and the rest of the world the information they need to know about him.
He said: “Mr Tinubu should tell the nation his true name, the school he attended, where he served and the certificate he obtained. He must do this task once and now. It is a matter of morality, honour, and integrity. Tinubu needs to come clean.
“The world now sees Nigerians as fraudsters, certificate forgers and identity thieves because of what Bola Ahmed Tinubu did at Chicago State University.”

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Atiku is contesting Tinubu’s election victory on February 25 and the election petition tribunal’s confirmation of Tinubu’s victory on September 6.
The certificate Tinubu provided to INEC may not be genuine, and his academic records are rife with inconsistencies and frauds, so he arranged the credentials out of suspicion.
After the certificate was made public, Atiku urged Obi, Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), and other Nigerians to support his fight for “justice” in the dispute surrounding President Tinubu’s certificate.
Tinubu’s academic records are now available after Atiku’s suit to the US court for the Northern District of Illinois to compel CSU to divulge them was approved.
