Indigenous residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have expressed their appreciation for the recent initiatives undertaken by President Bola Tinubu and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike. They commend these leaders for the establishment of the FCT Civil Service Commission and the Secretariat for Women Affairs.

Speaking on behalf of the FCT natives during a press briefing, Dr. Lazarus Gaza shared their enthusiasm for the positive changes that these developments are expected to bring to the nation’s capital. He stated that in just a few months, Abuja will take on a new look due to the anticipated new projects.

Dr. Gaza particularly commended the focus on women’s affairs, which includes the creation of a dedicated secretariat for women, mirroring the Ministry of Women Affairs in the states. This move has rekindled hope among the FCT natives and residents alike.

Furthermore, he praised President Tinubu for the establishment of the FCT Civil Service Commission, which will facilitate staff career progression and the implementation of the Treasury Single Account (TSA). The TSA will enable the FCT Minister to utilize the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) for the development of the nation’s capital, marking a significant milestone in the region’s progress.
