Speaking on behalf of the FCT natives during a press briefing, Dr. Lazarus Gaza shared their enthusiasm for the positive changes that these developments are expected to bring to the nation’s capital. He stated that in just a few months, Abuja will take on a new look due to the anticipated new projects.
Dr. Gaza, a prominent leader among the FCT indigenes, expressed their wholehearted support for President Tinubu and Minister Wike, emphasizing that these actions demonstrate thoughtfulness and a commitment to the growth of Abuja and the welfare of civil servants.
He also highlighted the significance of the recent changes, stating that the FCT will soon have permanent secretaries within the secretariats and a head of service, contributing to the overall efficiency of the FCT administration.
Dr. Gaza particularly commended the focus on women’s affairs, which includes the creation of a dedicated secretariat for women, mirroring the Ministry of Women Affairs in the states. This move has rekindled hope among the FCT natives and residents alike.
Furthermore, he praised President Tinubu for the establishment of the FCT Civil Service Commission, which will facilitate staff career progression and the implementation of the Treasury Single Account (TSA).
