Tinubu Bows To Pressure, Orders Withdrawal Of 24-Year-Old Kashim’s Nomination As FERMA Chairman

President Bola Tinubu, in an unexpected decision on Thursday, directed the withdrawal of Engr Imam Kashim Imam’s nomination.

Imam previously served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA).

A statement issued by Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Media Aide, confirmed Imam’s immediate resignation.

This decision has no effect on any other appointments to FERMA’s board of directors or executive management team, according to Ajuri.

Remember that the Federal Government faced criticism for selecting Imam, who is thought to be 24 years old, to the board of FERMA.

There were no particular grounds given by the presidency for withdrawing the nomination.
