Due to the recent passing of his mother, Hajiya Halima, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the New Nigeria Peoples Party’s (NNPP) 2023 presidential candidate, paid a visit to Ahmad Lawan, the former Senate President.
Days after his mother’s funeral, Kwankwaso announced in a tweet on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday that he visited the former Senate President in Abuja to offer his condolences.
He asked Lawan and his family to take comfort in the enduring memory that Jannatul Firdaus’s life has left for them and her community, and he prayed to the All-Powerful Allah to grant her peace.
He wrote: “Yesterday night, I paid a condolence visit to my brother, Sen. Ahmad Lawan, over the recent death of his mother, Hajiya Halima
“While praying for the Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Jannatul Firdaus, I urged Sen. Lawan and his family to find solace in the indelible memory her life has brought to them and her community.”
