Kenneth Okonkwo Reacts As Tinubu Wins At The Supreme Court

Kenneth Okonkwo, a politician turned Nollywood actor, responded to the Supreme Court’s decision upholding President Bola Tinubu as the legitimate victor of the 2023 presidential election.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the Supreme Court dismissed the petitions filed by Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday.

In response to the decision, Okonkwo expressed via his X account that he thought it odd that the Supreme Court had ignored the appellants’ $460,000.00 penalties for drug trafficking and money laundering.

In another post Okonkwo wrote “The Supreme Court delivered judgment today. It started with Atiku’s petition. The Supreme Court dismissed the application by Atiku to admit the evidence of the “forged” certificate presented to INEC by the 2nd Respondent (Tinubu) on the ground that it was not pleaded in the petition at the lower court and the 180 days within which the lower court can try this petition has elapsed thereby robbing the lower court and the Supreme Court the jurisdiction to hear the matter.”
