Prior to the governorship elections in Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo states on November 11, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) released information on the number of Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) that have been collected and those that have not.

During the Commission meeting on Monday, the electoral umpire declared that the margin of lead principle would be calculated based on the quantity of PVCs gathered, during the current preparations for the off-cycle governorship elections in the three states.

Sam Olumekun, the National Commissioner of INEC, stated in a statement that the commission has released information about registered voters in the three states, exactly as it did during the previous general election.
