Air Peace Expands Its Asian Footprints with Direct Flights to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Air Peace, West, and Central Africa’s largest airline has taken a significant step by commencing direct scheduled commercial flights into Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This marks a new milestone for the airline, which has been operating charter flights to Saudi Arabia, primarily to transport Muslim pilgrims. The inaugural flight from Kano to Jeddah, operated with one of Air Peace’s B777s, officially launches its scheduled operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

1. Expansion and Achievement: Air Peace’s Chairman, Dr. Allen Onyema, expressed that entering Jeddah is another remarkable achievement in Nigeria’s aviation history. It signifies Air Peace’s sixth international destination in just nine years since it commenced commercial flight operations. This expansion also strengthens the airline’s presence in the Asian continent.
2. Connecting Nigeria to the World: Onyema emphasized Air Peace’s mission to ease air travel for Nigerians and bridge connectivity gaps that have existed. The airline aims to connect Nigeria to the world with world-class flight services.
3. Boosting Bilateral Ties: The Chairman highlighted the smooth coexistence between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia, with religious tourism playing a crucial role in this relationship. Air Peace’s launch of scheduled nonstop flights to Jeddah aims to deepen bilateral ties, boost both countries’ economies, and promote mutual development.

Appreciation and Gratitude: Onyema expressed his gratitude to the Emir of Kano for facilitating Air Peace’s recent 9th-anniversary celebration and described him as a bridge-builder contributing to nation-building. 5. Modernization and Fleet Expansion: Air Peace is actively modernizing and expanding its fleet. In September, the airline placed a firm order for five brand-new E175 aircraft. This addition complements existing orders for 15 Boeing MAX aircraft, further enhancing the flying experience for its customers.
6. Emir of Kano’s Commendation: The Emir of Kano praised Air Peace for the Jeddah launch and acknowledged the airline’s role in leading Nigeria’s aviation industry. He commended Dr. Allen Onyema for the positive impact he is creating in Nigeria through Air Peace.
