According to accusations made by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), prominent activist Aisha Yesufu intends to organise a group in the UK to conduct a protest in London against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Tunde Doherty, the Chairman of the ruling party’s UK chapter, called the action a “misadventure” in a statement released in Lagos on Friday.
Doherty, who also serves as the chairman of the APC Committee of Diaspora, said he was moved to sound the alarm by recent claims and declarations made by the aforementioned group, which is led by Yesufu, an ardent supporter of Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate.

He said the group intends to hold a demonstration in London to spread its concerns over the president’s educational credentials.
He said: “It has come to our attention that this group is organising a protest in London to propagate unfounded claims about the educational credentials of President Bola Tinubu.
“We firmly believe our responsibility is to address this matter and underscore the significance of relying on substantiated facts over premature and unsubstantiated allegations.
“President Bola Tinubu, a seasoned and distinguished statesman, has a long and illustrious track record of serving our great nation.
“Throughout his career, he has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the betterment of Nigeria and its people.
