Tinubu To Depart Nigeria Saturday For G20 Compact with Africa in Germany

On Saturday, President Bola Tinubu will leave Abuja for Berlin, Germany, where he will attend the G20 Compact with Africa (CwA) Conference, which German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is hosting on November 20, 2023.

Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity, revealed this in a statement on Friday.

Tinubu will discuss the immediate improvement of business and economic cooperation at the conference with other heads of state and government of CwA member nations, bilateral partners, and heads of international organisations. Together, they will develop specific steps to increase investments in vital sectors like energy, trade, infrastructure, and new technologies, among others.

As he leads Nigeria’s team to the investment summit, the internationally acclaimed Nigerian leader will maintain the momentum and continue the mission in light of his desire to see more foreign direct investment in his country.

In addition, Tinubu’s commitment to diplomatic reciprocity is reaffirmed by this visit, since Germany is being invited after the Chancellor visited Abuja and Lagos, Nigeria, in October 2023.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the President will be accompanied by Amb. Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Wale Edun, Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance; Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment; and Chief Adebayo Adelabu, Minister of Power.
