Following the Super Eagles’ disheartening 1-1 stalemate against Zimbabwe—their second straight draw in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign—Nigerians took to social media to voice their displeasure.

Nigeria’s blushes were spared at Butare when Kelechi Iheanacho of Leicester City tied the score with a beautiful curler from inside the box.

Nevertheless, despite their best efforts, the Jose Peseiro-led team was unable to secure a victory, as the Zimbabweans made sure the Eagles would never taste triumph.
