It is reported that Aliyu Abdulhameed, a former managing director of the Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL), stole thirty-two official vehicles.
During his tenure in office, Abdulhameed used the automobiles for personal purposes, according to sources who talked with Newsmen.
According to an NIRSAL employee who was aware of the development, just two of the cars had been recovered by security personnel and brought back to the company after his apprehension.

Abdulhameed was taken into custody by the Department of State Service (DSS) for offences relating to corruption, as previously reported by Anaedoonline.ng.
According to a source about the automobiles that were diverted, 21 of the vehicles were bought using public funds and auctioned off in the names of several NIRSAL employees without their knowledge. However, the former MD later modified the vehicles for his own usage.
Additionally, it was reported that he stole household goods and nine exotic cars, including two bulletproof jeeps, from four official guest residences run by the NIRSAL in Lagos, Abuja, and Yola.
The platform has confirmation from a top security source that the former head of NIRSAL was taken into custody after being detained.

The DSS had not yet provided an update regarding his arrest at the time this report was submitted.
