In order to introduce the 2024 appropriations bill to the National Assembly, President Bola Tinubu has arrived.

According to information obtained by Anaedoonline.ng, the President entered the chamber on Wednesday at precisely 11:09 a.m.

Before the joint session of the national assembly at the House of Representatives’ temporary chamber, the president is anticipated to propose the budget.

Before the president entered the chamber, members of both chambers, Tajudeen Abbas, the speaker of the House of Representatives, and Senate President Godwills Akpabio were seated.

When Tinubu Will Present 2024 Budget To National Assembly Revealed

As the president and vice president Kashim Shettima entered the parliament, the legislators stood up.

The N27 trillion proposed budget for 2024 was approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Monday.

The fiscal strategy paper (FSP) and the 2024–2026 medium-term expenditure framework (MTEF), which serve as the foundation for the 2024 budget, were approved by the Senate and the House of Representatives last week.

For the daily production of 1.78 million barrels, 1.80 million barrels, and 1.81 million barrels of crude oil for the years 2024, 2025, and 2026, respectively, the MPs approved benchmark oil prices of $73.96, $73.76, and $69.90 per barrel.

Additionally, the federal government’s proposed exchange rates of N700/$, N665.61/$, and N669.79/$ for the years 2024–2026 were approved by the parliament.
