Stay In Nigeria To Make it Work, It’ll Bounce Back – Shettima Charges Graduates

The President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, led the graduating class of the second cohort of the Legislative Mentorship Initiative, and Shettima encouraged Nigerian graduates to use their potential to build a better future for their country rather than going abroad in search of opportunities.

Shettima rejected the idea that there would be better opportunities elsewhere, telling the graduates that the nation would recover in a few months.

In a statement headed “Let’s make Nigeria green instead of seeking greener pastures, Shettima tells graduates,” Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Communications, made Shettima emphasised the youths’ chances of success in Nigeria while pleading with them to remain in their country.

Shettima said, “Our country is going through some difficulties and challenges, but we are going to surmount it.” She acknowledged the difficulties of the present while outlining a resolute plan to overcome them. We intend to traverse the Rubicon. We’re going to carry you across the Red Sea to the land of blessings and opportunity.

The Vice President commended the graduates’ aptitude for technology and exhorted them to use it to the advancement of the country.

Saying, “Let’s stay here and make this country work,” he underlined the significance of continuing to live in the nation and cooperating with one another to ensure its prosperity. This is the nation we live in. You own the future.

Shettima questioned the graduates’ views on leadership and emphasised the value of mental acuity above brute force.

He urged people to reject pessimism and take an active role in determining Nigeria’s future.

In response to Shettima’s statements, Mr. Gbajabiamila, the program’s founder, acknowledged the cohort’s exceptional potential and expressed his belief that they will surpass earlier generations in their accomplishments.
