Gov Fubara Approves Appointments of Chief of Staff, Special Advisers

Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, has approved the nomination of important government jobs.

Government House Chief of Staff Edison Ehie, a former factional speaker of the State House of Assembly, has been appointed.

Darlington Orji, Solomon Abel Eke, Aminayanasam Fiberesima, Deeyah Bariene, and Prince Obi Ohia make up the Special Advisers.

The itinerary for the swearing-in ceremony was provided in a statement issued by Tammy Danagogo, the Secretary to the State Government, on Monday.

On Monday, January 29, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., the recently appointed Chief of Staff and Special Advisers, each with a guest, are scheduled to be seated at the Executive Council Chambers of the Government House. At 11:00 am, His Excellency, the Governor of Rivers State, will take office in a swearing-in ceremony.

Notably, Edison Ehie had already resigned amid the state’s political turmoil from both his roles as Speaker of a section of the State House of Assembly and member for Ahoada East State constituency 2.
