Nnewi, the industrial heart of Anambra state, buzzed with excitement on February 3rd as Anaedo TV, the pioneering Igbo-centric online TV, celebrated its relaunch. Established on August 19, 2019, by Mr. Cornel Osigwe, Head of Corporate Communications at Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM), Anaedo TV marked this significant milestone with a star-studded event.
Distinguished guests from various fields, including Kene Mkparu, CEO of Kworld Group, international tech expert Chris, Obinna Mathew of Matt Studios, Lagos-based advert specialist Iwuchukwu, Major Smooth, a talented musician and Chef Dazlyn, amongst several others graced the occasion.

The red carpet, hosted by the rising Prisca Ezeagu, set the tone for an evening filled with memorable moments. Anaedo TV presenters Gloria Ugwuoke, Chetachukwu Omaram and Ikem Mbabu, all part of the Freshminds Group, added charm and charisma to the event.
Attendees enjoyed an exclusive studio tour guided by Mr. Cornel Osigwe, providing insights into the Studio’s vision. Members of Nnewi Tech Faculty as well as Nnewi Social Media Hangout were given the opportunity to create contents from the studio.
The pinnacle of the evening was Anaedo TV’s inaugural live stream featuring the new program, “The Gist.” Hosted by Amaka Okafor and Ogemdi Bishop, the show delves into personal experiences, societal issues, politics and lifestyle. The debut episode featured Kene Mkparu, a seasoned filmmaker, who shared his inspiring journey from a young boy with a primary school certificate to a prominent figure in the film and media industry.
