Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has reassured foreigners of the safety and conducive business environment in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
During a recent meeting with the Ambassador of Poland to Nigeria, Mrs. Joanna Tarnawska, Wike emphasized the notable improvement in security within the city. He assured all, including foreigners, of a secure environment to conduct their businesses without any apprehension.

“We are happy to make sure all the foreigners are free to carry out their businesses,” Wike affirmed. “Abuja is the capital, and you can see how safe it is. It is one of the lovely cities that everybody will want to visit.”
Wike highlighted the cordial relationship between Nigeria and Poland, expressing the FCT Administration’s willingness to collaborate with Poland, particularly in the agricultural sector. He proposed the idea of Polish investors establishing large farms in Abuja, which could create employment opportunities for the youth and potentially lead to the ownership of these farms over time.
Ambassador Tarnawska echoed Wike’s sentiments, reaffirming the enduring bilateral relationship between Nigeria and Poland. She expressed that her visit aimed to strengthen this bond further.
The meeting underscores Abuja’s status as a secure and inviting destination for foreign investors, with the FCT Administration actively seeking partnerships to foster economic growth and development in the region.
