Grammy-winning musician Damini Ogulu, also referred to as Burna Boy, has apologised to Nigerian blogs in response to recent debates about his age that surfaced on websites in the West.
Recently, a few bloggers in the West released some images of Burna Boy, challenging his age claim of 32 and arguing that he is far older.
The musician responded to the controversy on his Instagram page, stating that images that cast doubt on his age were out of date and lamenting the attention that is being paid to unimportant things instead of his accomplishments.

Reacting via his Instagram account, He stated, “To all you weirdos who depend on @theshaderoom @theshadeborough And other weirdo blogs for your daily news. I shaved my beard in 2021 not now. But it’s good to know that for all the history I’ve been making and records I’ve been setting and breaking, You parasites only care about who might have fck, who I’m fcking, and stupid shit like ‘Burna boy shaved his beard’.
“I gotta apologise to Nigerian blogs now cuz I thought their stupidity was unique, I didn’t know they learned all they know from the West.”
His previous threat to sue Nigerian blogs for featuring him and their coverage of him was followed by this apologies.
