Popular Yoruba comedian and actress Ramota Adetu, also referred to as “Aunty Ramota,” is reported to have suffered a brain injury on Saturday, June 8, after undergoing a Brazillian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure in an Ikorodu hospital.
In an Instagram post, blogger Tosin Silverdam asserted that Aunty Ramota had had BBL surgery to improve her beauty.
According to Tosin, the procedure went wrong and left her in a vegetative state.
“Aunty Ramota slipped into a coma on Saturday, June 8th, subsequent to her BBL surgery at a hospital in Ikorodu, Lagos State, due to surgical complications,” Tosin said.

A variety of responses have been generated by the incident: some have questioned the veracity of the information, while others have expressed sincere concern and wish for her speedy recovery.
In response to the news, popular actress Toyin Lawani commented, “It’s a skit, forget. I’m not even falling for this. I’m just imagining how it will look on her legs. I know it’s a joke though. No doctor will do that to her; they would be jailed. It’s not ethical because of her condition.”
