Transfer: PSG In Talks To Sign Chelsea Midfielder Bakayoko

Paris Saint-Germain have begun talks with Chelsea in a bid to sign their midfielder, Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to Sky Sports.

The French Ligue 1 champions have expressed an interest in bringing in the 26-year-old to France. Bakayoko joined Chelsea in 2017 for £40m from Monaco.

He has spent the previous two campaigns out on loan at AC Milan and then Monaco after an unimpressive debut Premier League campaign at Stamford Bridge.

Milan were in talks to resign Bakayoko last month, but with no deal having been agreed.

PSG have now entered the race to sign the Frenchman.

Both PSG and Chelsea are understood to be discussing the possibility of either a loan or permanent deal for Bakayoko, with the Blues likely to be keen to arrange a transfer fee now with less than two years remaining on the player’s contract.

Bakayoko began his career with Rennes, before moving to Monaco in 2014. from where he joined Chelsea.

His only international appearance for France national team came in 2017.
