Nigeria First Female Professor of Chemical Engineering, Professor Philomena Kanwulia Igbokwe of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has been elected as the Chairperson of Committee of Provost and Deans of Postgraduate Colleges and Schools (CPDPGCS) in Nigerian Universities.
Anaedoonline.ng gathered that Professor Philomena Igbokwe who hails from Okpunoeze Uruagu Nnewi, was elected as the Chairperson of CPDPGCS at the just concluded 60th meeting of the body held at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo state.

Professor Philomena Igbokwe who is the first female professor in Chemical Engineering Nigeria, first female Dean of the Faculty of Engineering in Nigeria, and the first female inaugural lecturer in Chemical Engineering in Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, won the position amidst cheers from colleagues.
It will be recalled that Prof. Philomena Igbokwe who is the wife of Prof. Joel Igbokwe, in 2019, was elected as the Dean of Postgraduate School, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
