The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been sued by a group of Nigerians led by the Govindex Leadership, Empowerment, and Development Foundation for failing to comply with Section 160(I) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (As Amended) and Sections 60(5) and 148 of the Electoral Act, 2022.
Govindex is requesting the criminal prosecution of INEC personnel who undermined the integrity of the Saturday, February 25, 2023 Presidential election in an action filed before the Federal High Court in Abuja by its solicitors, Ifeanyi Nrialike Esq. on behalf of Ikechukwu Ezechukwu, SAN & Co.
