In preparation for the 2023 election, leaders of the Labour Party in Enugu State’s Lejja and Ukehe Local Government Areas (LGAs) collapsed its organization on Saturday (PDP).
The decampees were escorted by Uchenna Okpe, and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, governor of Enugu State and PDP candidate for the Enugu North Senatorial District, welcomed them.
In his remarks, Okpe said that they joined the PDP because they supported “the commendable efforts” of Governor Ugwuanyi’s government to advance democracy in the area.
