Residents of Nasarawa have flocked to the streets to celebrate the tribunal decision that overturned Abdullahi Sule’s election as State Governor on behalf of the All Progressives Congress.
According to earlier reports from Anaedoonline.ng, the Nasarawa State governorship election petition tribunal found David Ombugadu, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, to be the person lawfully elected by the State after voiding Sule’s election victory.
Two justices ruled on Monday that Ombugadu won the election, with one judge dissenting.

Sule, an APC candidate, was declared the victor of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), receiving 347,209 votes.
Ombugadu received 283,016 votes, placing second.
The PDP candidate, however, had voiced displeasure with the governorship election’s results, claiming suspected anomalies.
A video that appeared on the internet showed some of the politician’s fans having a small party right now.
On the streets, people wearing all black, including men and women, were spotted celebrating with PDP-colored flags.
Following the decision, the PDP candidate is also spotted at his home beaming with glee.
