Ice Prince, a troubled Nigerian rapper whose real name is Panshak Henry Zamani, has been jailed at the Ikoyi Correctional Facility.
According to an earlier report by Anaedoonline.ng, the rapper was detained on Friday for operating a vehicle without license plates and kidnapping Lagos State Command personnel who were on duty.
The 35-year-old performer was promptly charged at the Lagos Magistrate Court in the Ajah neighborhood.
Ice Prince was charged with three counts, including assault, preventing a police officer from performing his official responsibilities, and kidnapping.

The musician entered a not guilty plea, despite having the counts read to him.
After hearing the case, the court’s judge, Justice Taiwo Oyaniyi, rendered a decision and ruled that Ice Prince be kept in custody in the Ikoyi Prison.
Ice Prince was subsequently granted bail in the amount of N500,000 by Oyaniyi. He must also offer the court two trustworthy sureties.
He must remain in custody until he completes his bail condition, the magistrate said. He then put the case’s remaining proceedings on hold until September 7.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Benjamin Hundeyin, the Force’s Public Relations Officer, acknowledged the Ice Prince offense on social media.

A police patrol squad in the area stopped the artist at 3 am for driving without license plates, according to Hundeyin, who shared this information on his official Twitter profile. The artist was traveling to a location in the state at the time.
The PPRO said Ice Prince had initially agreed to follow the officers to the station but after that abducted the policeman, assaulted and threatened to throw him into the river.
