Seven cows stormed Mbanakwu community in Nnewichi, Nnewi yesterday, the 19th of August 2018, destroying properties, store wares, chasing residents away
According to eyewitnesses, the cows came from the Ugwu Akpati-Ozu area of the town without any cattle herder in sight. They destroyed a local store, trampled on all the items and ate the banana said another witness.
Residents were seen running helter-skelter for their lives. The herders showed up after the cows had destroyed the people’s items.
Contacts were made to the leaders of the community to react to the incident, however, as at news time none is yet to respond.
