Controversy Trails Bianca’s visit to Nteje

At  Nteje Yesterday as the community’s monarch, Igwe Roland Odegbo, Igwe Aborgu 11 celebrated the Iwa Ji Festival, the atmosphere was ecstatic as personalities from Anambra State and beyond graced the occasion.

Residents and visitors seemed to be in a joyous mood, with countless masquerades seen over, traditional dances and musical bands
The festival arena was filled with yams gotten from the harvest grounds, and Igwe Aborgu hosted the event in glamour and style.
A controversial moment at the event was when a frontline senatorial aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu was seen seated on the seat meant for the Lolo of the Igwe, thereby eliciting questions from on-lookers if she was meant to sit on the seat, which according to tradition is reserved for the wife of the traditional ruler.
In her remarks, Ambassador Ojukwu said “Igwe, I thank you so much for your encouragement, solidarity and support. Igwe ga adi ndu we rue mgbe ebighi ebi! I wish you many more years on the throne and may God continue to bless you abundantly.”
