RENEWED CULT WAR CLAIMS 2 LIVES IN OBOSI

It was dark Thursday (22nd November, 2018) for the families of Edekobi and Egbe, both of Ire Village, Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State when their sons, Maduaburochukwu Edekobi, aka IJA and Somto Egbe suspected to be members of the Viking Fraternity died over alleged clash with men suspected to be members of the Black Axe Fraternity.

The incident which occurred at about 5pm the fateful day, was described as a revenge mission coming from the Black Axe Fraternity, who claimed its members have been attacked severally by the Vikings.

Insider source told our reporter that Maduaburochukwu Edekobi left Obosi for Ghana at the heat of cult crisis in the community and has stayed there for about five years; only to return home few days ago for the preparation of his weeding scheduled to hold on November 29th, before he met his untimely death.

It was reliably gathered that the said Maduaburochukwu Edekobi, had on the same day, attended a burial party in the community, and was allegedly sighted spreading money on a notable musician, Ikem Mazili, unknown to him that he was being tailed by those who later sent him to the great beyond.

Contacted, the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Obosi Division, SP Oboshi, in a rather harsh voice, told our reporter that he was driving; and hung his phone.

Also Contacted, the Officer in Charge of the Special Anti- Cultism Squad, CSP Christopher Bassey, said they are on top of the situation, even as he declined further comment on the development.
