UMUDIM NNEWI RECEIVES TRANSFORMER FROM STATE GOV’T
There was jubilation on Saturday among the people of Umuezena community in Umudim Nnewi and its environ as the governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Dr. Willie Obiano, donated a 500kva/ 11000kva grade one transformer to the community.
Recall that on 10th November 2017, Governor Willie Obiano, during the commissioning of Nnewi electricity project, promised to donate transformer to communities in Nnewi in order to improve the socio-economic life of residents of the areas.
It was, therefore, a promise fulfilled on Saturday, 8 November 2018, when the Hon. Commissioner for Public Utilities, Hon. Obi Nwankwo handed over a 500kva/ 11000kva grade one transformer to the community.
Receiving the transformer on behalf of the community, Comrade Dozie Madueke, thanked the governor of Anambra State for fulfilling his promise and urged him to continue to consolidate on his achievements.
While also commending the Commissioner of Public Utilities, Hon. Obi Nwankwo, Comrade Madueke praised the Special Adviser to the Governor on Budget, Efficiency and Anambra Internal Revenue Service (AIRS), Ogbuefi Melie Onyejepu, for fast tracking the process in ensuring that the community gets the transformer.
