POLICE ARREST SUSPECTED CULTISTS IN ONITSHA

The Anambra State Police Command has arrested the duo of Osai Ikechukwu and Ikenna Ofonaya, who are allegedly members of the Viking Cult Group.

Release from the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Haruna Mohammed, disclosed that the suspects were arrested by Police Patrol Team attached to Awada Division, in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, on Sunday, December 9, 2018.

The release informed that the police team responded to a distress call at Gaius Street, Awada, where a group of suspected cultists were operating, and arrested one Osai Ikechukwu, 18, of Akabogwu Street, Awada; and Ikenna Ofonaya, 17, of Alex Aja Street, Awada.

Anaedooline learnt that suspects robbed one Ofor Odinaka of Nwazike Street, Awada, of his GSM phone; adding that axe, a complimentary card of Supreme Vikings Awalina and other incriminating items were found in their possession.

The release said the suspects have confessed to be members of Junior Vikings (JVC) cult group, and that suspects would be charged to court for prosecution after the investigation.
