The member representing Ayamelum Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Honourable Uchenna Okafor, has urged the Executive Arm of Government to checkmate activities of herdsmen, who have allegedly invaded his constituency and wrecking havoc there.
The Lawmaker disclosed this while supporting motion for adjournment during plenary on Tuesday.
According to Okafor, the herdsmen recently destroyed farm lands belonging to his constituents in the course of grazing their cattle. He regretted that the situation has compelled people of the area to stop going to their farms for fear of what will befall them.
