POLICE NAB 3 OVER THE MURDER OF 26 YEAR-OLD IN ANAMBRA
Police detectives attached to Ihiala division in Anambra State, yesterday, arrested the trio of
Chidubem Ejezie aka Santana of Umoadobihi-Eziani village, in Ihiala, Ihiala Local Government Area;
Arinze Azubuike Adigwe of Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area; and Chijioke Onu of Ndiezike Ihiala, Ihiala Local Government Area; all in Anambra State, for alleged murder of 26 year-old Dominic Njem.
Police source revealed that the suspects had on Tuesday, December 18, at about 7:25am, attacked Dominic Njem and inflicted several machete cuts on his body until he became unconscious; and when rushed to the Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Ihiala, by a Police Patrol Team, he was certified dead; and his corpse deposited at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra, Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the development.
The police spokesman further claimed that the suspects were members of a cult group known as Aiye Confraternity; and that they would be charged to court for prosecution upon completion of investigations.
