NNEWI STANDS STILL FOR OBIANO AND SMART
In order to show appreciation for the wonderful achievements of Governor Willie Obiano in Nnewi, Residents in Nnewi and environs, today, Wednesday, January 16th 2019, trooped out in their thousands to welcome His Excellency, Chief Dr. Willie Obiano, the Executive Governor of Anambra State.
The Governor in company of his entourage arrived Enete Edo Square Nnewi, venue of the appreciation and campaign rally for APGA candidates, amidst cheers from Nnewi residents who had waited patiently.
Welcoming the Governor and his campaign team, the Transition Chairman of Nnewi North L.G.A, Hon Prince Chukwudi Orizu welcomed the entire entourage of the Governor stating that the large turn out of Nnewi residents testifies to the performance of Governor Willie Obiano in Nnewi. He went further to list out some of the notable achievements of the Governor in Nnewi which include construction of Seven (7) roads in the town and another Five (5) roads which are ongoing, installation of Street lights in most of the roads in the town, erosion control project in Nnewichi, construction of classroom blocks in Nnewi and many other projects.
He assured the Governor that Nnewi residents will vote massively for APGA in the forth coming National Assembly and State Assembly elections.
Hon. Chike Agwuncha, the Nnewi North Local Government Chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) who also addressed the crowd, urged the entire Nnewi residents to vote for all APGA candidates including Nonso Smart Okafor, who is contesting to represent the town in Anambra State House of Assembly.
The National Chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Sir Victor Oye, also added his voice by emphasising on the need of keeping APGA alive by voting for All APGA candidates. He also warned the crowd not to be deceived by the antics of the oppositions parties who are desperate for power.
Addressing the crowd, Governor Willie Obiano said that Nnewi remains an important town in Anambra State and that is why Nnewi has benefited alot from his Government.
Speaking further, the Governor said, ” If you elect Nonso Smart Okafor, be rest assured that he will ensure that Nnewi receives her fair share of the dividends of democracy. Through legislation and representation, the needs and challenges of this constituency will be promptly responded to. *I intend to work closely with him to solve some of the challenges of this town. I am convinced that he will not disappoint our party and the town.*
The high point of the rally was when the National Chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Sir Victor Oye, presented the party flag to Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor.
