FG RELEASES MORE THAN N9 BILLION TO CLEAR BACKLOG OF SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS

 

The Nigerian government has released more than nine billion naira to clear the backlog of scholarship allowances owed students.

The education ministry says the amount covers local and international students. This brings to ten billion naira, government’s expenditure on scholarships in the 2018 budget.

Thirty thousand students currently have pending applications for the country’s scholarship schemes.
