WHY I WANT TO REPRESENT NNEWI NORTH CONSTITUENCY -BEN CHUKS NWOSU

 

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Candidate for Nnewi North State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Barr. Ben Chuks Nwosu, has assured of his readiness to offer effective representation if given the mandate to represent Nnewi North State Constituency in Anambra State House of Assembly.

He gave the assurance while speaking during the Nnewi North State Constituency Debate organized by the Anambra Youth Progressive Movement (AYPM) at the CWO Hall, Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral, Nnewi, on Wednesday, 6th February.

Speaking during the debate, the erudite lawyer, promised to robustly and courageously represent Nnewi again if given the opportunity.

He said, “If elected, I will be a high ranking member of the Anambra State House of Assembly. This will place me better to give Nnewi quality representation; and with my knowledge of the law, legislative competence and communicative skills, I will have the ability to use my legislative position to attract dividends of democracy to Nnewi.

On his relationship with the PDP Vice Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, he said, ” I have known Peter Obi years ago. We schooled in the same University. I was his personal lawyer for over 10 years. I incorporated most of his businesses when he was impeached as the Governor of Anambra State. I was the first member of Anambra State House of Assembly to speak on media platforms that his impeachment was unconstitutional, despite being a PDP member, and the Governor was an APGA member. I stood against it; I rejected the dollars they shared in Asaba because of my believe in justice and equity.

Speaking on his legislative agenda and his previous achievements, he said, “I remain the best House of Assembly member that have ever represented Nnewi. I attracted a lot of roads, including the popular 100 Foot Road and Nkwo Nnewi Road. I gave out scholarships, empowered some of my constituents with jobs, tricycles, motorcycles and cash donations.

“If elected, I will sponsor bills and motions that will address some of the challenges we are facing in Nnewi. I will sponsor a bill for a law to enhance erosion control in Anambra State, especially in Nnewi. If elected, I will sponsor a bill for a law to urgently create roads and infrastructure maintenance agency in Anambra State. I will sponsor a bill for a law to ensure maintenance of public primary schools, which are mostly attended by poor people in our state”.

He urged voters in Nnewi to vote for PDP candidates in the forthcoming election.
