IN NNEWI, WOMAN ARRESTED IN POSSESSION OF PUMP ACTION GUN

Police detectives attached to the Central Police Station, Nnewi, in conjunction with men of the Okpunoegbu vigilante group, arrested one Miss Chika Chukwu, with a Pump Action Gun loaded with four live cartridges and one expanded cartridge.

Police source told Anaedooline that the 19 year-old was arrested at the Amahusa quarters within the area on Thursday, February 7, where she concealed the gun inside a bunch of mopping stick in order to avoid being noticed.

Contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Anambra State, Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the development. He said that the matter is still under investigation in order to ascertain motive behind her action, after which she would be charged to court for prosecution.
