Azubogu: PDP CRITICIZES OPPONENTS OVER ATTACK ON ITS CAMPAIGN VEHICLE IN NNEWI

The Anambra State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the attack and burning down of a campaign vehicle belonging to the party in Nnewi.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the party in the state, Nwangwu Nnamdi, in a press release said, described the attack as unfortunate; adding that it has demonstrated how desperate some political office seekers could be.

Nnamdi, who said his party is law abiding hinted that PDP will not fold it’s hand while some unpopular and desperate politicians try to breach the peace in the state.

The PDP’s spokesperson urged law enforcement agencies to as a matter of urgency, investigate, apprehend and prosecute the perpetrators of the act to deter other criminals, who are pretending to be seeking people’s mandate.

He reassured the teeming PDP faithful in general and the supporters of Hon. Chris Azubogu whose Toyota Sienna campaign bus was burnt to ashes, to continue to keep faith with the party even as he expressed preparedness of the party to get to the root of the matter.

Nnamdi said the effective way to keep unscrupulous and desperate politicians away from the corridors of power is to vote for PDP candidates in the 2019 polls.

“It’s a common knowledge that Hon. Azubogu has done well beyond all expectations. It is only natural that those who have no selling point will descend to the abysmal level of burning down his campaign vehicle. Such desperate individuals cannot and should not be trusted with people’s mandate. ” He concluded.
