FINALLY, IFEANYI UBAH BECOMES A SENATOR FOR ANAMBRA SOUTH DISTRICT

The candidate of the Young Progressive Party, YPP, for Anambra South Senatorial District in Anambra State, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, has won the senatorial election to represent the district at the Red Chambers of the National Assembly.

While declaring the result at the senatorial collation center in Nnewi, at the early hours of Monday, February 25, the Senatorial Returning Officer, Prof. M.N Umenweke, of the faculty of law, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, announced that Ubah of the YPP pooled 87,081 votes to emerge winner; while his close rivals scored as follows:

APC:      13,235;

APGA:   51,269;

PDP:     62,462.
