POLICE ARREST 88 IN ANAMBRA OVER CULTISM, OTHERS

The Anambra State Police Command through its Special Anti-Cultism Unit, has arrested Eighty-eight (88) suspected cultists at different locations in the state.

The state’s Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Ladodo, in a press release issued on Wednesday, March 6, disclosed that out of the Eighty-eight (88) suspects arrested, thirty-one (31) were screened out, twenty-seven (27) were charged to court, while thirty (30) others are under investigation.

According to the CP, one Double Barrel gun, 14 live cartridges, dry leaves suspected to be cannabis sativa,
substances suspected to be cocaine concealed inside a phone, 2 axes, 1 dagger and 1 machete were recovered from the raids.
