NONSO OKAFOR UNVEILS HIS IMMEDIATE PLANS FOR NNEWI

Nonso  Okafor (SMART) has announced that he has already prepared three bills to be sponsored by him on the floor of the state house of Assembly.

The Anambra State House of Assembly representative-elect for Nnewi-North Constituency, Nonso Okafor (SMART) made this statement on March 6th 2019 while he was live on air at BLAZE FM (91.5) radio station.

“As I’m speaking to you now, I have had three bills fully written down for over a year which i intend to sponsor on the floor of the State House of Assembly. The three bills are ONA Axis Development Bill, Youth Empowerment bill and Captive Power Bill” he said.

In the ONA Axis Development Bill, Nonso Okafor (SMART ) insists that a percentage of the state’s budget should be allocated for the development of the ONA Axis. The ONA Axis refers to ONITSHA, NNEWI and AWKA.

The State House of Assembly elected for Nnewi North Elect went on to say that If these three towns are to generate revenues that will run the state, a very good percentage of the state’s budget must be allocated to them for their development.

According to Nonso Smart, Youth Empowerment Bill is a bill that seeks to institute a youth commission that will be saddled with the responsibility of empowering of the youths in line with international best practices.

” I believe that with youth empowerment bill, there will be a streamlined framework for empowering the youths. If youths are empowered in the true sense of it, it will address the issue of security. Any generation that neglects its youths is headed for doom” Nonso Okafor ( SMART ) said.

Speaking on the Captive Power Bill, he said that the bill is geared towards strengthening the industrial clusters in Anambra State by making it possible for the state to generate power.

Speaking , NONSO OKAFOR said ” most times people feel that power generation is for the Federal but I tell you that State has the capacity or the right under Captive Power Bill. I tell you, if we are able to generate power that boosts industrial clusters in Anambra State, most especially in Nnewi, I think it will help us bounce back as THE JAPAN OF AFRICA.
