NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp In Mbaukwu /Umuawulu Anambra State Opens For Use June 2019

The NYSC Permanent Orientation camp in Anambra state is to be open for use by June 2019.

The state Coordinator NYSC Mr Keyinde Aramu made this known when he paid a familiarisation visit to the traditional ruler of Umuawulu, Igwe Joel Egwuonwu at his palace at Umuenu village Umuawulu.

The state coordinator Mr Aramu was accompanied on the visit by members of management of the Agency.

Addressing the Umuawulu Monarch and his cabinet members who gathered to receive the delegation, Mr Aremu appreciated the community for their hospitality and disclosed that they would move into the Umuawulu/Mbaukwu Permanent site by June this year.

Mr Aremu said though there were some finishing touches to be done, they can continue with other preparations and will accelerate thevwirk once they move in.

He said that the move will open up a lot of business opportunities for people of the area especially the youths.

The NYSC State Coordinator added that it will also open up a lot of business opportunities for farmers in the area, as camping comes up five times every year.

The Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly Barrister Harford Oseke who is a native of the community, while welcoming the group said that opening the Orientation Camp is a welcome development as it will enhance the living condition of the people.

Barrister Oseke who is the member representing Awka South Two Constituency in the State Assembly noted that government approved about forty-eight point seven acres of land for the camp, wondered why both the male and female hostels clustered in one part while many parts of the land are lying fallow.

Receiving the group, Igwe Egwuonwu appreciated them for coming to familiarise with his people and said that as a peaceful community, Umuawulu will cohabit peacefully with them.

He commended the state government for siting the project in Mbaukwu/Umuawulu, as a way of opening up the area.
