European Union Funds Training For Journalists In Anambra State

Over the weekend, the one-week training on Investigative journalism and Fact Checking came to an end at Witness Garden Hotel Awka.

The training which was organized by Premium times center for investigative journalism and sponsored by the European Union brought together journalists from different parts of the South East and South-South region of Nigeria.

The training which was initially meant for Anambra State Journalists because of the strides of the State government in partnering with the European Union through RoLAC was opened for more states.

The training took place in a few other states like Abuja, Lagos, Adamawa, and Kano who are also in partnership with the European Union.

The training focused on enhancing the reportorial and investigative skills and also on reminding journalists of their role in bringing about accountability in government according to section 22 of the Constitution.
