Lend A Voice Campaign: Points What Parents Having A Child With SCD Should Know

During the celebration of the world sickle cell day in Onitsha, Dr. Kalu Udu, a Medical Doctor at Iyienu Mission Hospital highlighted some points a parent having a child that is not genetically sound should know and hope for that loving child that is affected with sickle cell disorder (SCD).

He advised intending couples on the best approach to be certified genetically sound before getting married.

He further reiterated great counselling and hope for carriers of Sickle Cell Disorder in our community via this clinic.

Dr. Kalu Udu is a Medical Doctor working in the Paediatrics Department of the Hospital.
