Building Materials Section Needs Expansion, Market Leader Appeals To Obiano.

General secretary of Nnewi Traders Association (NTA), has appealed to the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano to look into the issue of congestion in Building Materials section of Nkwo Nnewi Market.

General Secretary of Nnewi Traders Association, Hon. Julian Dozie Okafor while exclusively speaking with anaedoonline.ng on Thursday 20th of June 2019, appealed to the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano to address the issue of congestion in that section of the market by creating a permanent site that will house the building materials Section.
Speaking, he said, “the section of building materials here in Nkwo Nnewi is very small and has limited a lot of dealers from expanding their businesses, and when offloading their goods, they cause massive traffic and congestion because of our small area .”

Apart From the issue of traffic, the Market Leader also highlighted how the small size of the market section has affected the growth and development of the market as it discourages traders there from increasing the size of their goods, for lack of space.

Finally, Hon. Julian Dozie Okafor, applauded the Governor of Anambra State on the good road network done in the building materials section of Nkwo Nnewi market, saying that it was in a very bad state prior to his administration, he, however, said appealed to The Governor to also pay close attention to road Networks in the Entire Nkwo Nnewi
