Hausa Community Gets Land In Nnewi.

The Hausa Community in Nnewi have finally gotten a land in Nnewi.

According to reports made available to Anaedoonline.com, the land is located along Ugwu Okwenu (Ugwu Akpati Ozo) road, Umudim Nnewi.

It will be recalled that earlier this year, we published a report about the plans by the Hausa Community in Nnewi to buy a land to build their own market and burial ground, where members can do their business and bury their dead loved ones.

In the report, Alhaji Mohammed Diya, who is the Chief of Hausa Community in Nnewi said that they have met with Igwe of Nnewi, His Royal Highness, Igwe Kenneth Orizu, several times, asking for land, but he is yet to grant them their request.

According to him, Hausa businessmen are interested in bringing cattle, goats and different farm produce to sell to the people, which would be for the benefit of both Nnewi and Hausa people.

As alleged, it appears that help have come on the way of the Hausa Community as they have finally gotten a land along Ugwu Okwenu (Ugwu Akpati Ozo) road, Umudim Nnewi. The land is situated in the former location of NAFORS BLOCK INDUSTRY Nnewi.

According to a member of the Hausa Community in Nnewi, members of the Community pay Five Thousand (5000) Naira each to enable them get their own portion in the land.

However, attempts to get the leadership of Hausa Community Nnewi at the time of writing for further confirmation has proved abortive.
