The National Population Commission Begins LGA Demarcation.

The National Population Commission, NPC, is on Enumeration Area Demarcation, EAD, of communities in Aguata local government area.

This census data collection Program commenced early this week and will continue until Tuesday, 23rd July, 2019.

This process started with a 3day training at the Aguata LGA capital, Ekwulobia with the theme “Refreshers Training for Phase 8 Enumeration Area Demarcation (EAD)” .

According to a press release signed by Honourable Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission, Mr. Chidi Ezeoke, Enumeration Area Demarcation is not the census, however, it is the foundation on which the entire census architecture stands.

It noted that at the end of the exercise, the commission would have successfully demarcated one hundred and sixty-three local government areas nationwide, the remaining six hundred and eleven local government areas will be covered in subsequent programs.

“The public and residents of communities in Aguata local government area are hereby expected to support this initiative which is of national importance, by allowing the demarcation access to facilities and places in the areas to be demarcated,” the Press Release Concluded.
