Chukwueze Not Sure Of Villarreal’s Starting Shirt
Villarreal coach, Javier Calleja, has revealed that there will be no automatic shirt for any player in his squad in the new season.
The coach, revealed this at the team’s pre-match press conference, as they prepared to face Granada in their opening match of the season on Saturday (today).
Eagles’ talented forward, Samuel Chukwueze, who had a breakthrough season in the 2018/19 season, will be hoping to continue his development with the Yellow Submarines but will have to fight for a place in the starting line-up despite being handed the team’s No. 11 shirt recently.

Calleja said, “The most important thing is that everyone has performed at a very high level and has been well. There is healthy competition to play anyone from the start.”
The coach added, “There is talent and there will be players that may seem to be starters and will not be. There will be minutes for everyone to demonstrate their level. I’ve tried several (formations) and I like 4-2-3-1 more.”
